Mandoro-yama Viewpoint
Centered around the Kizu River, the Yamashiro Basin developed as a rich farming village supporting the capitals along the road connecting Kyoto and Nara.
Mandoroyama Park offers a panoramic view that allows you to overlook this historical transformation, with a wide-ranging view that extends to the Kyoto Tower and the Ikoma Hills.(Scenic Landscapes of Kyoto Prefecture)
The name "Mandoro" comes from the torchlight procession that was held to Mount Omine during a rain-making ritual.

Access: About 4.5km from JR Yamashiro-Taga Station, about 60minutes on foot.(Located on the Yamabuki Hiking Course) Free parking is available.
