Tamagawa River
The beautiful riverside scenery, with blooming Japanese roses and croaking frogs, has played a major role in classical literature since the Heian period (794-1185) and has contributed to the formation of Japanese aesthetics. The area, adorned with cherry blossoms and Japanese roses, serves as a local space for relaxation. Upstream, there are several small waterfalls and wind holes known as potholes. In June 2008, this river was selected as one of the 'Top 100 Water Resources of the Heisei Era'.
Access: About 200m west from JR Tamamizu Station, about 3 minutes on foot.
