Former Site of Ide-ji Temple
This was a temple of the Tachibana clan, dating back to the Nara period (710 - 794). It was a large temple, covering about 240 meters square, comparable in size to state-sponsored temples in the capital.
The ruins of the Ide-ji Temple five-story pagoda were discovered in recent years and are located at Ide town hall.
